Great Head Trail

Mom's favorite trail in Acadia National Park is the Great Head Trail
It starts in the woods with beautiful birch trees.

And comes around to the spectacular ocean and the islands.
Of course I looked at the ocean but I studied the woods behind me.
Chipmunks are my new favorite hunt.

Me and Dad

Checking out the lobster traps, looking for boats.
My p's ate lobster every night. Piggy's....
but it's cheaper than at home.

Bar Island

Today's story is all about Bar Harbor's Bar Island walk.
Mommy has been to BH several times but never took this walk across the Bar...in her head this is the closest thing to walking on water.
During low tide, the ocean parts and a lovely sand bar is revealed and you can walk to an Island!
How cool is that?

After walking across the sand bar to Bar Island they remind you NOT to park your car (on the mainland side) near the water, because it may take on some water.  haha
Sign reads "Parking on Bar is not recommended"

There's a nice little hike on the island which has beautiful views of Bar Harbor!

The cairns (little rock formations) lead the way.
The cairns also make good photographic frames!

Back to higher ground.

Our East Coast Trip

Yes! we went to Maine for vacation.
1st we stopped in Massachusetts for a break.
I met this very cool guy!

We stopped in Portland Maine over night.  My first night in a hotel was not so bad since my p's remembered my bed!

There was lots of doggie shopping to be had.
We ate (ah, THEY) ate out every night.  I was alittle stressed out about staying still and relaxing. BUT I got it down to a science by Friday.

Mom liked the harbor in Portland Maine.

See I'm alittle weirded out about hanging out in the restaurants. However, the people LOVED me!

Lots of water for one dale.

And luckily, lots of treats.

Chomp!

I know I've been gone awhile but I've been traveling the east coast.

A picture - Handsome Bogart-esque.
